- This may be a little vauge, but I have found a few symptoms with my
- A4000 that Iwas wondering if anyone could figure out.
-
- The problem started when I dropped a C=3640 into my
- A4000/030/882/18MB system. It ran fine when I dropped it in, and I
- let it run overnight (rendering). When I woke up in the morning, the
- whole system was frozen up. I rebooted, got a flashing orange screen
- once, and from there after, nothing but a black screen.
-
- The C=3640 no longer works from what I can tell. I dropped it into
- my A3000, changed all jumpers, and nodda. Black screen.
-
- I then turned around and dropped my C=3400 030 card back in, changed
- the jumpers back for it, and was rewarded with a flashing green screen.
-
- I have taken everything I could out of it... memory, daughterboard,
- buster... only the ROMs haven't been tested to see if they were
- fried. (but then, aren't ROMS a red flashing screen at bootup if they
- are fried?)
-
- Some person told me that it may of been the "Voltage Regulator" on
- the motherboard that could of fried. But from what I have heard, the
- VR is hard to blow.
-
- Does anyone have any suggestions on this matter?
